Recent Updates and What’s Coming Soon
Since the summer season drew to a close, there’s been plenty happening behind the scenes at Deer’s Glade. Quieter months on site are often when the biggest improvements take shape, and over the past few months, we’ve been focused on thoughtful updates that enhance both first impressions and everyday stays. Best of all, there’s still more to come.
A Refreshed Welcome at Reception

As guests arrive, the changes near reception are the first thing they’ll notice. The entrance area has been refreshed and gravelled to create a warmer, more welcoming arrival. New planting and a striking ornamental firepit set the tone. Rodney has had a bit of a makeover too, and a new reception sign clearly marks the heart of the park.
Inside the shop, shelves are now better stocked than ever, with an expanded range of essentials alongside locally sourced products - ideal for picking up something useful or a small reminder of your stay in rural Norfolk.
E-bike Hire at Deer’s Glade

You’ll also now find e-bike hire available directly from reception. For guests keen to explore the surrounding countryside, nearby cycle routes, or enjoy a gentle ride to the village pub, it’s an easy way to see more of North Norfolk without bringing your own bikes.
Four electric bikes are available for half-day or full-day hire, suitable for adults and children aged 14 and over (with under-16s accompanied and supervised). Helmets and locks are included, and hire is subject to our terms and conditions, with valid photo ID required. Reception will be happy to help with availability, pricing and local route suggestions.
Fibre Broadband Now Available
Staying connected at Deer’s Glade has become easier. While our rural setting has always made WiFi a challenge, fibre broadband is now available across the park.
For those who enjoy streaming, working remotely or staying in touch, faster internet brings a welcome boost. For anyone hoping to fully switch off, nothing else has changed - woodland walks, lakeside views and wildlife still take centre stage. It’s very much the best of both worlds.
Revamped Exteriors and Outdoor Spaces

Across the park, some glamping accommodation exteriors have been refreshed. Our Luxury Retreats now feature new electric hot tubs, updated decking and outdoor seating, while the Mega Pods have also benefited from new decking, seating and the addition of electric hot tubs to all four pods, an upgrade from the wood-fired tubs which were originally only featured at two of the glamping pods. Earlier this year, we also introduced outdoor kitchens complete with gas BBQs.
We’re also pleased to share that Mega Pods now welcome dogs - up to two well-behaved companions - making them an even more flexible option for dog-friendly glamping in Norfolk.
New play area equipment

Families staying with us will notice a new addition to the play area. A brand-new tractor and trailer play unit from Outdoor Play UK has recently been installed, giving younger guests a space to climb, steer and explore.
It’s already proving popular and is a lovely addition for families looking for relaxed, outdoor-friendly stays where children can enjoy plenty of space to play.
Cosy Stargazer Bell Tent Glamping
Our Stargazer Bell Tents now feature improved insulation, making them even more comfortable throughout autumn and winter. Each tent is fitted with an extra insulation liner and comes prepared with a 13.5 tog duvet, extra blankets, an electric blanket and an electric heater.
Glamping in a Stargazer Bell Tent is all about balance - keeping the fresh, open feel of camping while enjoying the warmth and comfort of home. During the cooler months, guests can choose between two Stargazer options: one with a private sauna and bath, or one with a hot tub.
Muntjac Meadow Camping and Touring for Groups
For larger gatherings, Muntjac Meadow now offers something a little different. Part of Deer’s Glade, this spacious and peaceful Norfolk meadow is available for private hire and is ideal for low-key group stays.
It’s particularly well suited to caravan and motorhome rallies, family reunions, community gatherings, classic ‘cars and coffee’ meet-ups and relaxed private campouts where space and simplicity are key. Facilities include showers, WCs and electric hook-up, with private hire available year-round (excluding school summer holidays, when the meadow opens to the public).
Events here are intentionally calm and countryside-focused - no amplified music or alcohol-led events - just space to bring your group together in a quiet rural setting.
Coming soon: Mole Cottage
Looking ahead, work is underway on Mole Cottage, which will soon become the third Deer’s Glade Cottage. This traditional thatched cottage is currently being carefully renovated, and we’re looking forward to welcoming guests to another character-filled retreat in the near future.
As always, these updates are guided by guest feedback and our own love of the place. Whether you’re returning or discovering Deer’s Glade for the first time, we look forward to welcoming you and sharing what’s new - with more still to come. Check availability for the coming months or start planning your spring or summer family holiday.
