

Kids' Activities
There are plenty of things for children of all ages to do in the North Norfolk area.
Outdoor activities include:
- BeWILDerwood - a curious treehouse adventure.
- Hilltop - outdoor activity centre with wall climbing, orienteering etc.
- Thwaite Riding Stables - rideouts and lessons for children
- Tennis - Cromer tennis club have both astroturf and superb grass courts
- Holt Country Park - nature trails and lots of childrens activities in the holidays
- Wroxham Barns - small farm animals for children to feed and handle, craft workshops and tea room for gown-ups
- Skate parks - at North Walsham, Aylsham or Buxton. Great for skateboards or mountain and stunt bikes
- Smile Park - great new playground at Aylsham
- Bure Valley Railway - narrow gauge steam railway running from Aylsham to Wroxham and back. Link up with a boat trip on the Broads at Wroxham if you wish. Many childrens activity days throughout the year
- Muckleburgh Collection - collection of static and working tanks and other military equipment
- Bacton woods - near North Walsham. Great for mountain biking or walking
- Cycling - along the Bure Valley Way next to the steam train track through to Wroxham, or Marriott's Way along the disused railway line in the other direction towards Reepham
- Beaches - Overstrand for good sand, West Runton for sand and rockpools, Cromer for sand and the seaside town shops etc.
- Pleasurewood Hills - further away, near Lowestoft, but a great theme park with lots of thrilling rides
- Dinosaur Park - a full days entertainment for the whole family
- Amazona Zoo - newly opened last year
- Pettitts - animal adventure park with some rides
- Kartrack - outdoor go-kart track at Cromer
Indoor activities for a wet day include:
- Stompers - a brand new indoor play area for younger children
- Strikers - ten pin bowling and pool tables
- Movieplex cinema - showing all the latest films
- Splash leisure pool - with shallow 'beached' end, wave machine and flume
- Victory swimming pool - traditional oblong pool for swimming
- Roller skating - Cromer High School sports hall, Saturdays 2.30pm-4.30pm (September - July only). You will need your own skates.
- Sticky Earth Cafe - paint your own plate, mug etc.
- Norfolk Children's Book Centre - only a mile up the road, with every children's book you can think of! Books for all ages of child and free coffee for grown ups!
- Castle Museum - in the centre of Norwich, with lots of childrens' activities in the holidays. Also next to the Castle Mall shopping complex
